For this handsome 2 year old boy. Badly treated by previous owners, instead of training they used electric shock collar resulting in burns to the poor thing. He's a little jumpy with quick or harsh movement but nothing I don't think can be sorted with the right training, love and attention

AnUtterIdiot Mon 22-Feb-16 20:37:11

I wish I could, he's so beautiful heart emoticon

Not surprised he's jumpy, the shits. But that is the face of a poet. Have you Facebooked, Tweeted etc?

KinkyAfro Mon 22-Feb-16 20:39:47

Hi anutter, foster carer has Facebooked and Tweeted. I said I'd put it on here too for those that don't FB or Tweet (me included)

We're desperately looking for a dog, we lost our boy to cancer last month and our girl is utterly lost. Where is he?

LetThereBeCupcakes Mon 22-Feb-16 20:45:40

Sorry, xpost! Too far from us in the south west unfortunately.

Burns from shock collar?!?! Fuckers. He's a bit cute. My cocker would love him but I need a smaller dog

GinIsIn Mon 22-Feb-16 20:49:02

Oh he is BEAUTIFUL!! Are there any more details, OP?

KinkyAfro Mon 22-Feb-16 20:49:04

Just waiting for a few more details from foster carer via SIL, will update asap

Dog is called Hendricks, he's a Fox Red working lab, up to date with vaccs, neutered, great with other dogs. Hasn't lived with children but has a nice temperament. He's been badly beaten but is very trusting. Had a guarding issue but that has stopped now

Couple more pics

He looks so scared. Poor baby. I have a 6 year old and two very young cats so I doubt we would be right.
I just want to let him on the sofa and cuddle him and tell him it'll be ok. Xx

Wolfiefan Mon 22-Feb-16 21:58:59

I was hoping you would say he'd love a 6 year old and he wouldn't worry about the cats!

KinkyAfro Mon 22-Feb-16 22:01:15

Lol Wolfie, I'm sure he would. You should definitely take him grin

KinkyAfro Mon 22-Feb-16 22:03:34

Wolfie, he is fine with cats, used to live with one. It's meant to be!

Wolfiefan Mon 22-Feb-16 22:06:16

He looks so incredibly nervous. I don't work and DH has finally said we can get a dog now. Our cats are only a few months old. Kids are well trained. (Leave pets alone when sleeping. The animals get to choose if they want a fuss.) but have never lived with a dog.
I grew up with dogs. Haven't had one of my own.

KinkyAfro Mon 22-Feb-16 22:09:15

Aw Wolfie, we always had dogs growing up, finally got my own 3 years ago at 39! I have a choc lab, she has her problems but I wouldn't be without her

Wolfiefan Mon 22-Feb-16 23:29:24

I'm in my 40's now. Used to work odd hours but now at home. We have the time and space and live in a lovely area with lots of walks.
I grew up with a fox red lab setter cross. Loved that dog.
