Desperate times - puppy arriving in next few days and we cannot agree on a name!!!! The only ones we like our friends already have and it would just be too complicated! Any suggestions welcome - its worse than naming the children.....!!!! He is a red fox labrador and a very handsome one! At least its taking my mind off christmas....!!!!!

What names do you like but can't have, so we get an idea of the sort of names you would choose?

Also, are you looking for a festive name or not?

Oh thank you you lovely lot! Some crackers there!

The name I really wanted but really can't have is Monty! I like Rufus, Chester, Dexter & Lawson but so far getting a no from the family!

I like a human name but not too human (make sense?!) - I'm happy to play on the red thing but not the christmas thing as its purely a coincidence that he is coming for Christmas - not planned at all!!!!

Thank you again!!!! (see it definitely takes your mind of enough roast potatoes and forgotten Christmas cards!!!!!)

Fred? My own dog (a border) is called Fred and it is a no nonsense human name. I also know a red setter round the corner called Fred and it is just perfect for him.
