Hi I am wondering if anyone can offer some advise please. I have an 8 month old cockerpoo. He has always been a bit of a one for following me around the house and getting under my feet but recently this has got worse. My doggy is not allowed upstairs and this has always been the case. He is fine at bedtime, he is crate trained but in the last few weeks he has been fine just left in his bed in the lounge with no problems. However during the day is a different matter. If i go upstairs i can hear him crying even if my daughter or partner are downstairs. I have tried leaving him with treats or a favourite toy (which he plays with for ages) but he just drops them and wont touch them until i return. He just stares up the stairs. He can be asleep after a long walk in his bed but as soon as he hears me get up from the sofa he gets up and follows me. He has to be near me even if he can still see me from where his bed is he has to get up and follow me. How can i try to stop this, im at my wits end
