Dog in season and miserable!

I posted last week about my five month old who's in season. She is on day 9 and is utterly miserable. She sleeps all the time (preferably on a lap), doesn't want to play and is only happy when out walking (which we can't do all day as she's still only little!)
Is this ok? Should I be trying anything else to cheer her up or just accept it and assume she'll be ok next week? I feel so sorry for her Sad

My working cockers lasted 4 weeks although after the 1st 2 she was pretty much her old self. She was exactly the same as yours? Sad... Clingy and tired. Why are you not walking at all? We were told lead walks if you are cautious are fine, although was pretty stressful for me to be honest as was on high alert to every dog. I also tried to walk at quieter times. I am booking mine to be spayed in the new year (with vet didn't make us wait for a season!) because can't go through that again,

We are walking (about to go out now), I just meant that it's the only think that makes her happy and we can't do it all the time!

Sorry misunderstood. I am pretty sure there is nothing else you can do. Mine stopped eating so tried to tempt her with chicken etc which usually worked but she was still a soppy sad dog the rest of the time.

Mine hasn't stopped eating at least - she is food mad! I guess it is normal, it's just so out of character, she is usually such a bouncy thing.
