OMG it is just like having babies again! We have had 3 nights of barking from 3 year old punter lab. Started I think when he heard fox screaming/sex and wanted to go and sort them out. So I came down, 5am, let him out he raced up and down the garden, came in, settled with me then went back in his bed. Last night he started about 2am, after half an hour I came down, ignored him put him in another room away from the back garden. He barked for 20 mins then stopped, started again at 7am. Should I ignore the barking? I feel he will bark if he thinks I will come and see him. Before this he has slept though from 10pm to 7.30am no problem every night. Feeling sleep deprived!
The foxes are very active at the moment - our dog never barks at night but last night there were two foxes screaming and shouting at the end of the garden and he couldn't stand it any longer - he barked at about 2am and then again at 5:30-ish If they don't shut up tonight I'll have to bring him in with us as it's quieter on our side of the house
