House adaptations - spondylosis

Ddog has been diagnosed with spondylosis and will be on pain killers for the rest of her life. She is already finding it difficult to get up on the sofa and on the bed.

I was thinking of having something built to help her get up on the bed or sofa. A ramp won't really do as it would need to be quite short and steep and she's having difficulties with steps.

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear Ineed. Can I ask what breed your dog is?

She's a Basset Griffon Vendeen Petite and is very beautiful

I've just found a doggie lift!

and actually google search of doggie stairs has brought up a few things that are quite cheap and look like a possibility.

Glad you've found some options. I have a mini Daxie so I know back problems are problematic for these beautiful hound breeds.

Thanks Wiener. Now your NN makes sense.

these steps look quite good hope the steps are deep enough.

My mum got a set of 3 steps for her JRTx as his arthritis is stopping him getting on the sofa and he got the hang of them really quickly ( he'd never used stairs before) , they are very lightweight and have a fleece cover so that the dog doesn't slip .

I like those steps. Would be very handy for pup getting on and off the sofa.

With regards to the name. I've had it a lot longer than my pup Blush

I really like hot dogs but only a particular type that Waitrose sell. It's my dh's nickname for me Blush

Sounds like the ones on Amazon Flora. I think I might give them a try. Ddog is a bit bigger than a JRT so the steps would need to be a bit wider for her. Think I will give them a try anyway.
