Poorly Eric

Eric came back from his walk yesterday and started crying and pulling at his ear. I checked him and cant see anything and there's no discharge. Took him down to the vet but emergency only appointments and nurse checked him and said he'd be fine to wail until today. Later on his eye became really gungy so I cleaned that up and he's still pulling at his ear. He's not eaten but with encouragement he's drinking well. He's happy when his ear isn't hurting but it obviously is now and then. Feel really sorry for him and I'm getting numerous texts asking if he's ok. Hopefully the vet can sort him out quickly and easily later.

Poor Eric, maybe he has a grass seed in his ear? I hope the vet can help.

Poor Eric, I do hope the vets can help him - I wonder if he has some sort of ear infection as I guess dog anatomy is similar to ours in terms of ears, nose, throats etc

Well, it's conjunctivitis the vet said she has had three cases today so he's got cream for his eye and metacam. His ear looks ok but hairy so we need to think about him going in, being sedated and having them plucked if they continue to bother him. They had to muzzle him because he was very unhappy to be looked at, in fact he was unhappy once he knew where we had come, but was happy to have a fuss once it was over. He already seems brighter so hopefully it will clear up quickly.
