Stupid mutt thinks that if i shout come it means she stands still and i come to her! Or has she just got me well trained? Hmm

Mines the same , so I've given up with 'come' and just shout 'down' now which at least makes it look to everybody else that he is well trained .

If i shouted 'down' she would give me a baleful stare which said 'gimme a break, i'm just eating some grass here'. She does down beautifully, but only when i am near her.

Just as well i luffs her and she is very cute.

We gave up on using "come" on walks. He has decided he much prefers "this way!" instead unless we are right outside the house and he's gone on strike. when only "chicken foot!" works. Hmm

Murph was utterly useless with 'come' until I found an old clicker at the back of the cupboard.
I sat watching TV one night with a pot of cheese and the clicker and every now and then would shout 'Murph come'. Click and treat when he did. He was surprisingly quick to get it and in the house/garden will be at your feet in seconds.

Out on a walk? Not a hope in hell. He stays on a long line. Blush
