Tibetan terrier owners - 2 questions please

Woody is 8 months old.
What brush/comb would you recommend I use on him please?

And do you give your dogs a summer cut to help them deal with the heat?
He's had one trim so far, a scissor cut not a clipper cut, mainly to make it easier to cope with muddy legs and under belly.

And do you trim the hair in his ears? Or get it trimmed anyway? And any other tips for keeping ears healthy and clean please.
