Can anyone recommend a good book about having a puppy. Had dogs all my life but haven't had a pup for 9 years and feel I need to brush up on my knowledge! Thanks

Before and After getting your puppy by Ian Dunbar. Both available as free e-books on his website I think. I used them and have the perfect dog (three years later!)

Cesar Milan believes in fear and pain to control dogs. He is a bloody idiot.

The Happy Puppy Handbook is a brilliant book. Very well written by a very experienced dog trainer.

The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey. Easy practical advice on all the usual puppy issues and training.
