Easy fasten puppy collar & lead

I need to find an easy fastening collar and lead for our puppy. He is a small breed and does not pull at all when walking so I am not sure a slip lead is appropriate, but in terms of getting it on and off him it would be ideal.

I have searched for Velcro fastenings but have only seen the bandana collars which I'm not sure you can attach a lead to.

DH has dexterity problems which means that buckles and squeeze fastenings are really difficult to use, he does enjoy taking puppy out and we are teaching recall, so lead is on and off during walks.

Why would you take his collar off?

I have a puppy collar with a plastic clasp that clicks together if that makes sense.

Our puppy has worn his collar continuously since he was about 8 weeks old and only comes off for flea treatments and baths. Why do you take it off?

We just clip his lead on for walks. Smile

A slip lead could kill a small dog easily so do not use them ever

You should always take your puppy's collar off if they're in a crate - sadly several puppies have been strangled when their collars get caught

But I can't see why you'd want to take your puppy's collar off on a walk?

I don't think OP means to take the collar off, more that her DH struggles to fasten the lead clip to the collar.

Our dog is TINY, her collar is tiny and the clips are tiny. Its fiddly to fasten any of them and I have no dexterity problems.

Thank you for all the replies. We take his collar off in the house, so it is hard for DH to put it and the lead on before a walk and then the lead clip is hard to do whilst out.
Thank you for the link to the Doddle Penny, that looks perfect.
