How can I tell if Whippet pup is too thin?

You should be able to see a couple of ribs, maybe just the tip of a vertebra (depends on the curvature of their spine). With a pup I would try and keep more weight on them than as an adult, but not much.

With pups I like to be able to see, at most, the last rib or two.

It can be so hard keeping them at a good weight when they're growing though. They can go from looking fine to looking really skinny overnight.

My youngest is just over a year old now and he's still packing away more food than the two adults together. They don't really finish growing and filling out until they're around two years old.
