We've just got our first puppy and I just want to talk to doggy people about dogs the whole time. I've even bought myself a fleece gilet for those frequent nips outdoors. Wink

Is it normal? Grin

Haha! I was exactly the same when we got our first puppy. I used to laugh at people like us too Blush

Grin I used think doggy people were lovely but pretty bonkers. And I never imagined I'd wear a fleece gilet . Let alone be a little pleased that it smells faintly of dank dog. .

It's kind of liberating.

I'm still like that even my youngest is a year old now. I've always been dog obsessed, ever since I was little Grin

Wait till you judge a pair of shoes by their grip for winter/ease of walking in in summer, or examine the quality of stitching in a new harness, or read assessments of dog foods online, or glance disdainfully at other humans out for a walk WITHOUT a dog (how awful their lives must be!)
One time I smelt my puppy on my coat in work and had to stop myself weeping Blush

Come and talk to me! I love talking about dogs. Within a year of getting DDog 1 I'd taken a qualification in Dog behaviour and signed up for Obedience, Agility and Rally-O classes!

Now we have DDog 2 and they have to have their own columns on the calendar to keep track of their activites. Sometimes they have clashes Blush

I spend most of my free time walking/training and talk dogs endlessly. Really want to do a course on behaviour next year.

NCIS I can thoroughly recomend the Clever Dog Company courses - I started with the Think Dog Certificate.

9 year old daughter was saying last night that it's a shame puppies can't go to drama as she thought her puppy would be good and so useful for playing doggy parts. So it's a multi-generational disease.

Grin ours is auditioning for the part of Sandy soon!!

Just don't start putting those ghastly dogs are more important than people statuses on FB. And don't, as a friend of ours who owns 7 and fosters more, put FB statuses about illnesses and deaths and funerals where you can't tell whether it's a dog or a human that's ill, dead or being buried.

My puppy would be ideologically opposed to playing the part of a girl who changes in order to get her man. I think she'd be looking more at playing Gwendoline in George Eliot's Daniel Deronda. But good luck with the audition.

Mine isn't experienced enough for cross species roles yet............she's sticking to parts traditionally played by dogs for the time being. She's hoping for Toto at some point....,.

Or perhaps Chekhov's The Lady and the Little Dog? What breed is she? I don't think Labradors can do restoration comedy very convincingly, for example.

No, I think you need spaniels and possibly Setters for restoration comedy. I think an all Labrador Journey's End has potential...........

Alpha Get her into a Heelwork to Music Class. Then DDog will be ready when her starring role becomes available.

Hak I would love for DDog to play Sandy. He is a black labrador and I think he would be appreciated for the comedy value he would bring to the role.

Is it OTT to ask MNHQ for a Doghouse Style & Beauty topic? I saw someone was asking about a Christmas Jumper for a 3 legged dog. And I worry about the sartorial subtext of a studded collar.

I definitely think we need a Style & Beauty Secition.

I saw a miniature Schnauzer with a chilli-red mohican the other day.
