Where can I get a Christmas jumper for a three-legged dog?!

I know, I can't help but laugh typing that title...! My parents have a lovely 'tripawd' English Springer Spaniel who lost a leg to cancer a couple of years or so back. My mum mentioned she wanted to get her a doggie Christmas jumper but obviously they don't make them for three legged dogs!

I would knit her one but I'm crap at knitting, can only do squares (i.e. scarves, blankets) and can't even manage purl stitch.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can go about obtaining a knitted jumper for a three legged dog? I know it's completely frivolous and pointless but I feel slightly sad that she should be deprived of a festive jumper when the rest of the family will be wearing one at Christmas! Xmas Sad

Depends which leg is missing. Usually they r done as a longer back panel and a shorter chest plate leaving holes for front two legs only...so joined to neck under chin and then behind front legs to back panel. Theyre basically 2 slightly shaped squares....I bet u could do one

Looking at ddog's jumper, I don't think a missing front leg would be a problem - most seem to be tank tops rather than jumpers IYSWIM

Any dog jumper should be fine,it's not as if they have long sleeves, and even if they did you could just cut and stitch one up.

Dog will just have one sleeve (hole) open with no leg in it
