Stinky dog!

My dog smells.... Not just of dog, but worse. Not a great description I know! She's walked and groomed regularly, I've washed her bedding so do I bath her now

I know this is a silly question, but it's a long time since I had a dog!

Is it her coat, breath, bum? If it's the first, maybe she's rolled in something. If it's her breath, it could be her diet or her bum, it could be that she has blocked glans.

Might it be her anul glands. My friends dog often needs to got to the vets to empty them. The smell is horrible.

Is she due to come in season ?

My springer always starts to smell about a week before there is any sign of blood

Yes, she may have rolled in fox poo but the grooming would have got rid of that.

Ditto all the above; coat, teeth, anal glands. But also check her ears. An ear infection can smell horrible too.

Worth checking out with vet if continues to be a mystery. Bad smell could indicate health prob. Could be metabolic or simply that a change of diet is required.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. It's her coat I think, not breath or bum. It's possible she could be coming into season as she's 4.75, what other signs would there be? Only had boy dogs!
