Fleas - have i poisoned my boy? How do I get rid of them?

My poor doggy has fleas, and as I've got another dog and four cats I'm pretty certain I'm infested.
I've washed beds and sprayed the house with acclaim.
And I re did frontline, which I think is a major mistake as I'd only done it about two weeks ago, but I've a feeling I bathed him straightaway (next day?) after the first lot, I've read online and it says overdosing doesn't normally cause an issue up,to 5 times the recommended amount, but I'm half thinking I should go and bath him, to wash it off.

Also tmr, I'm wondering if I should go and buy a flea shampoo and flea collars for everyone, or am I just going to overdose them all more?
So worried I've poisoned my boy :(

Plus I don't know how to get rid of the buggers, they were jumping everywhere when I picked up his bed :(

Help!

I'm itchy all over :(

Frontline doesn't always work. Use Advantage or Stronghold. Give dog bath before you use it, ensure they are dry before administering the drops. Wash all bedding and treat dog at same time. The new treatment should have a better result. You can get Advantage over the counter it online, Stronghold has to come from the vet.

But I can't give him Advantage tomorrow can I? As that be three flea treatments in two weeks.
I'm also thinking maybe a flea shampoo isn't good either as it's more chemicals...

I'll definitely get advantage for next month.

I'd check with a vet. They have different active ingredients so it may be okay. Flea shampoo won't do any harm and Hoover like mad. Smile

Umm I partly blame dh for this as I Hoover daily but have been at work all week and he's been on housework duty and hadn't hoovered once! Grr!

GrinGrin Charge the flea treatment to him as recompense! In reality it's probably that frontline no longer works on the fleas that's caused the problem. The active ingredient in advantage and stronghold is not the same and , at the moment, is much more effective.
