German shepherd owners info on stiff joints/rear end

Our girl is fairly young only 4 and suddenly suffering stiffness wen getting up after laying down. Seems young for this problems but am worried considering the breed! Her mother wasn't his scored father not sure but probably as was well Tree stud dog. Haven't taken her to Vets yet would this be advisable? Have started glucosamine/cod liver oil for joints daily-what would u guys suggest?

I would say a trip to the vet is worth it as you need to know what the underlying cause is, how bad it is and therefore what the future is. This will almost certainly involve an x-ray, but then you will have good information to use to make a plan going forward.
