What shall I call my new puppy? She's a female whippet collie cross.

What shall I call this...?

She looks like a Sylvie to me

Thanks, she is very cute and has the bluest eyes.

We like names that end in 'ie' sounds (have got/had dogs called Molly, Rosie, Holly, Poppy etc) but just can't decide. Short list includes Carly, Cassie, Gracie, Georgie...and anything else you can think of. She's going to think her name is 'puppy' if we don't find a name soon!

Whippet x collie - she must be called Speedy! Or Whizzy.
Izzie-Whizz?
Zoomie.

Can't see her photo on my phone but she sounds lovely!

Oh my, she's absolutely gorgeous! Grin

Favourites from the list so far are Gracie and Indie. Smile

I love natural names for Lurchers, which is what she is, being sighthound x working breed. Things like Willow, Seren, Ash, Spirit, Storm etc - how I ended up with two Lurchers with anything but natural names is beyond me. Confused

Ooh lucky you she's beautiful! I love Lurchers! WhippetXCollie = speed and brains!

I like Gracie (because she will be VERY graceful once the puppy gangliness has worn off) and Indie.

She would just fit nicely on the pointy hound cushion with some other pointies... Wink I didn't realise that there was a whole 'extra' dimension available when owning a lurcher - lots of fun opportunities that are not there for 'normal' dogs (like the one we had before).

Thank you for the suggestions I knew I could count on all of you.

Owllady I love Polly but can't have it cos I have a Molly.

Laughed at Mabel cos it was my mothers name and she hated it so much no-one was allowed to call her by it.

Seems like Gracie and Indie are favourites here. I have to decide tonight as the poor little thing has been here since Saturday with no name. Will let you all know later. Thanks again.

Grin my boy is 11 months old and still responds to 'Puppy' as that's what he was called for the first couple of days while I resisted the family's choice of 'Pip'. Hmm Grin

No suggestions as I'm useless at names but oh my goodness she's gorgeous. That little face is just adorable.
