That really
DH went to visit his friend a few hours away they only see each other twice a year.
When DH got there his friend had 3 dogs locked outside in the pouring rain with no shelter. DH asked why they were there and the friend said they were his he bought them as puppies from a family who were struggling he got them for his gf but then he dumped her and she said she didn't want them anyway and left the friend with them.
DH asked could he bring the dogs in and friend complained but did it in the end.
DH couldn't see any dog things in the house and the dogs were rather thin .Turned out the dogs sleep outside in all weathers and food is just chucked for them when the friend feel likes it.
One of them banged the door with its nose and friend screamed at them to shut up grabbed a picture frame and chucked it at them. The friend didn't seem to care and told DH to mind his own business.
DH went to check them out and they were very timid at first but they got used to him and were very sweet. DH asked could he take one and keep it and then they could try and find a rescue centre for the other two.
Friend said if DH wanted them he could have them all and if DH didn't take them he would just leave them in a river.
DH call his friend a prick and has brought all three back with him.
They are lovely dogs 2 are 10 month old Labrador cross and the other is a 12 month old Labrador. They are very sweet but it does look like they have been beaten by friend.
DH has gone to get some dog supplies to get them through the night with us. I was hoping you could tell me what to get and tell me what to do next.
Thank you
