Suggestions for Halti no pull harness replacement

Hope you all can help I've been using one last couple of months and love that lead clips front and back but the fastening clip has undone today and yesterday, I don't want to use it anymore and really I'd like to replace it with something more hard wearing

I've got a gen con collar which is excellent for stopping pulling and not many parts to go wrong with it. It is one size fits all and fits in the dogs head as a figure of eight.

Unfortunately my dog hates it so we have replaced it with an easy walk harness where the lead attaches on her chest, she happily wears this one.

She would stop and rub her head on the pavement with the gen con which was horrible for her. It also sits further down the nose from the halti collars so nowhere near eyes so good if your dog tolerates a halti.

I would recommend either for a non pull good quality harness.

I have a gencon collar too and it stops our dog pulling, it was reccomended by our dog trainer, my dog hates it too we only use it when going to dog busy places to keep her under control. Day to day I use a rope lead which also stops her pulling.

Gentle leader's work well but need to be fitted properly. I would check out reputable pet shops, trainers or your vets for help.

Aah gencon is like a gentle leader I tried that but it made a sore spot on her muzzle, plus the halti harness is great because you can clip lead front and back it means I can take lead off and attach longline to just the back, no mucking about needing various things.

I was just hoping that there was another harness that was also front& back fastening but stronger, better made

I know what you mean oldandcrabby, I can only presume that it had become too loose round the neck, and caused the sore, but then I preferred the halti harness anyway

The Mekuti harness has a front and back fastening .

I have a canny collar. It only fastens at the back though.

Yes floral just found Mekuti, that's the one just going to find a measuring tape

I use a figure of 8 lead. Can't remember which make I bought - there are a few out there. We did have a halti, but she still managed to pull and she hated the snap of it behind her ear....she'd flinch every time.

the dogmatic is fantastic, and dog doesn't pull on it, but he doesn't like it.

I have a mental lurcher, reacts to traffic, dogs, cats, bikes... Anything that's moving faster than he is usually! Despite his skinny build he's strong and has managed to squirm his way out of most haltis etc... But when we got the gen con he is massively different! We have a stock of them just incase one breaks! Wouldn't be without it now.

I do like the head collars but she's only 8 months so longline training is still a thing so I need a harness more like a halti for now, I ordered a Mekuti set last night at £30 compared to £5 for the dodgy Halti, so it had better be much better made
