I'm looking after a spaniel for the weekend. I have my dps dog and a german shepard staying with me also (I look after dogs) my problem is the spaniel has fleas and is constantly scratching and scratching. His owner is a friend of mine, and I know she had a flea problem recently that she took great pains to get on top of. She's treated her home and has had the dog and her cat frontlined very recently. SHe also has bathed him with some kind of flea shampoo that had rosemary and suchlike in it, and has combed him. The dogs in my care are frontlined and not scratching at all, but I now have to fucking flea bites on my leg, and like I said, the poor little bugger is at himself. Constantly. Yesterday I bought him some bob martin 'spot on' - never used it before, as we use FL on our dog, but this promised to kill fleas.... the dog hasn't improved. I've texted the owner to say I'm going to find something stronger/more effective, but can anyone recommend a product? Getting desperate!

Bob Martin products are next to useless and anecdotally I've seen some animals react badly to them. You need a prescription flea treatment - Stronghold or Advocate, and she needs to treat the house again with Indorex or RIP Flea spray.
