Having problems with housetraining our 11 week old Lab pup. She seemed to be doing okay - even sitting by the door a couple of times looking to get out. The last few days the weather has been good and she has spent most of the day outside (I have a feeling that's the problem), coming in during the evenings. She gets played with/does training outside frequently each day and we make sure she does a wee before she comes in. Yet, when she comes in, she wees. Aaaaargh. Last night, she wee'ed, I brought her in, she went a bit loopy playing so back up for another wee, in again, lay down for 10 mins, got up and the kitchen floor took another hit. Tonight, DH brought her in (not sure whether she wee'ed or not)l she paced so back out and when she came in within 2 mins, another wee inside.

Any advice please?

Thanks

Don't let her have free access to outside that can be a problem as you won't be there to praise the good results . Also add in a command word ,we use 'go quick' .

Okay, so that is our big problem then. Back to spending my days in the kitchen supervising her I think. No,pain, no gain, right? We use 'do wee' so hopefully that will help/is helping. Thanks Floral.

Please remember your puppy is very young. They still get excited easy and bladder control isn't fully established yet. Don't make a huge fuss when she has an accident also try to keep her away when you clean as they can see it as a game, so a good thing. I take my puppy outside every time she wakes up and then roughly every hour when she's awake through the day.
Generally she's good but if she's playing with my other 2 inside she gets caught up as do they and by the time she breaks away to go to back door she doesn't make it. :)
