The doghouse

My dogs are very lethargic in this heat!

even the puppy
they are just drinking water, wandering around indoors and sleeping! Shock (they are well, don't worry about that!)

Mine is the same. She got a very thick double coat and hates the heat. Been keeping her (and me) indoors until at least 8.30/9.00 in the evening and even then it's still hot.

Was out shopping yesterday in a busy area - one of my rare forays into the overheated world - and was amazed to see people with their dogs. I think it's so unfair.

Labrador is flopping and huffing in the kitchen. She is content to do so

It was fine at 6.45 this morning, but 3pm walkies - no way. Last night at 7pm she was panting with mouth open and tongue out so we only did 10 minutes. The other dogs were racing around like lunatics as usual.
She is small , short muzzled and has a thick furry/fluffy coat. It is very difficult to trim as I've tried.

It was cooler here on Saturday with a lovely breeze and we manage to get to the park in the afternoon. Bliss. Under the trees she was flying all over the place chasing her ball.

Yesterday and today, unbelievably hot and humid and now she's just flopping again.
