AIBU to be annoyed with the dog groomer?

So today DH takes our dog to his booked appointment at 11am. He's normally with the dog groomer for around 3hours, so I was finishing work at 1.15, giving myself plenty of time to get to him (only takes 15mins from work)
At 1.15 I get a phone call from a rushed groomer saying that he's ready to be picked up, I tell her that I will be with her in 15mins, to which she says she has to leave for the dentist and she needs to leave this second. The only option was to leave our dog in a cage until I got to him. She admitted she should have told DH that our dog would need to be collected earlier than usual which would have been fine but she didn't.
So I arrive to find Ollie in a cage, alone, shaking as he was so nervous.. He never goes in a cage so was completely strange for him.

I feel so let down by the groomers, they knew they needed to leave at a time so just needed to warn us so we could be there earlier. And she couldn't hang on even 15mins?! Rather than having to leave him - felt it to be very unprofessional! Feeling very annoyed with her - AIBU?

UANBU - did she expect you to just appear when she phoned you? Surely, if you're phoning to get something picked up, you have to allow time for the person to arrive. If my DS's ill at nursery, they phone me, but understand that it will take me 30 minutes to drive there; I'm not expected to arrive as they speak!

This woman wanted your dog picked up earlier, but forgot to tell your husband about this. Therefore tough, she foregoes her dental appointment. A child minder who did this couldn't leave the child until mummy arrived, her mistake - she has to wait for you to arrive.

What terrible serivce, and your poor dog.

Thanks! That was my point... I couldn't get there instantly anyway! I think she thought I was really rude on the phone but what does she expect? DH says that it's her duty to stay with him until we collect.
Needless to say we will be looking for a new groomer!
