3 weeks ago, DH and I got a new 8 week old Ewok puppy. We're experienced collie owners (have 3 working dogs), so are used to the size and "enthusiasm" of collies... we thought we were experienced enough for an Ewok, because we've had collie puppies from working lines...
Because of Ewoks breeding, at the moment, Ewok is smaller than a cat. Seriously, she was weighed at the vet on Wednesday and she is 3.5kg. So why is it, given she is so small and 1/5 of the size of our smallest collie, how has she has managed to whip the collies into shape and run the house? We actually have to keep her and the collies separated, not for Ewoks safety, but for the safety of our other (large) dogs!
Is there such a thing as "small dog syndrome"? She's lovely, don't get me wrong, she's starting puppy school in 3 weeks time - she is well socialised, will be spayed ASAP and is going to be a fab little dog, but Oh. My. God... She's actually a Gremlin that has water chucked over it after midnight!
Anyone else experience their small dogs being in charge of their big dogs? Is this common?

I have a puppy from an accidental litter as well doberman x lurcher. She looks like a lab 
There is definitely a small dog syndrome, and I reckon your Ewok has it. I love the fact she is herding collies! Adorable!
An ewok with German spitz in it will never ever ever be a small dog in their mind

My pup is also half Gremlin. It happens sometime around 7pm. He's all black, and all you can see are the flashing teeth and the whites of his eyes as he launches himself at your ankles. He savages the spaniel's ears with gusto, and all the while Jas is giving him a 'WTAF?!' look, before shaking him off and retreating to the safety of the sofa. Ah, puppies. They look so cute, but are in fact evil
My border terrier pup ended up being nicknamed Gremlin. He does a gremlin face when excited and looks like a manic cackling gremlin.
He is 10 months now so likely fully grown and only 7 kg. He always hurls himself at very large dogs wanting to play rough giving their owners heart failure! I keep him on lead around other dogs now unless I have express owner permission as sadly he is that little over friendly menace

I don't know about small dog syndrome but I did joke when he was tiny that he had a napoleon complex! For about 3weeks he couldn't do tthe steps in and out of our garden. He used to bark for help but then try and savage me when I did try to help! It was short lived thankfully!
I bloody love the idea of a pack of dogs being the minions of a cat
I once a had small JRT puppy who ruled the roost over a fully grown, large for his breed Akita.
If she wanted to sleep in his bed, she slept in his bed, or on his head
15 leonbergers and one Siamese cat sounds amazing - does it ride on the shoulders of the biggest one?
I am a bit 
at how anyone could fit 15 of them into one house, though - do they live in a castle or something? My border loves playing with leonbergers, but I can't imagine fitting more than one into my living room...
We had 2 young cats when we got the even younger Dachshund as a pup. The cats were lovely natured especially the female, but my Dachsie was a she devil and didn't like any other dogs or the cats.
Didn't hear of any problems when she went to stay with PIL for 2 weeks who had a good natured St Bernard and his friend the family cat. The latter 2 were outside pets .
When my belgian shepherd x border collie was a pup, she was most definitely a gremlin. She used to swing off the jowls of our lovely gsd x boxer boy with her needle sharp teeth. Literally swinging around on them as he walked around. That is, when she wasn't holding onto the tip of his tail and enjoying a drag ride around the room. He was nearly 9 stone and totally under her paw!
If it helps, she grew into the sweetest natured dog we've ever had - not a bad bone in her body - but you'd never have predicted it when she was a pup, she was 100% puppy mayhem - total gremlin territory.

Our Boss smallest, most elderly ginger cat (he's 3kg & 17 years old, so smaller and much wiser older than Ewok) has just beaten the crap out of her. She made the mistake of charging up to him and yapping when he was eating his lunch. Or rather, we assume that's what happened...
DH heard an angry cat yowl in the kitchen, a screech from the pup, and the next thing we know, is she is tearing up the garden with the ginger ninja close behind her slapping her backside.
She is now avoiding him with a wide berth and giving him evil puppy eyes.
