Nature's menu frozen nuggets

At the moment our dog is fed on Arden grange. I have been considering raw food for a while and was looking at Natures menu site today.

Does anyone feed their dog these? The thing is I am vegetarian and find the whole chopping up meat a bit yuck, so wondered about the nuggets.

If I went ahead with it how do you swap? It says not to mix kibble and raw, so do I just swap completely or do 1 meal raw and then 1 meal kibble?

Can I offer no help but follow with interest?? I posted a thread earlier where I realised that my dog is overweight and I really want to consider raw feeding but was thinking that Nature's Diet might be a good start for me. We really don't have any freezer space at the moment but I'm not prepared to buy a full week of meat for him in Waitrose!!

Am feeling baffled by feeding at the moment - I always thought that a straight dry food diet was best but I am really changing my opinion. Good old Mumsnet eh?? It reminds me of first finding out about Baby Led Weaning and all the oldies in the family thinking I was mad!!

Hi petit. Glad I'm not the only baffled one. Mentioned it to dh and he gave me one of those looks....the what now look. Bit like when I suggested getting chickens!

I have discovered my local pet store sells frozen natures menu nuggets, so I might have a look tomorrow. I was also a bit worried about running out of room in the freezer.

I hear you with the DH!! I mentioned buying a small freezer earlier (just over £100 at Argos!) and he looked at me like I'd finally lost my marbles and muttered something along the lines of 'for a free dog he costs a lot of money' Grin

I like the fact with Nature's Menu that I don't have to think about it too much and could also have a back up of pouches for when I forget to defrost the next day's food (it will happen!!).

When they have the chicken bones etc. do people generally just feed them in the kitchen?? I'm a bit grossed out by bits of bone being left about tbh. It's not like if I put it in his bowl he will just stand there and eat it - or will he?? I guess he could eat outside in the summer...

I really do just want to give him the best I can //flummoxed
