jay dog came crate trained ( he is a rescue) TBH he was so wild I think he was shoved in it to stop his biting, but I think he is old enough and calm enough not to be in it at night now or will I just leave it as his bed really not sure what to do, he goes in it ok but doesn't seem to keen to leave the comfy day bed he has,

We got rid of our dogs crate when he was about 1 , mainly because it was only used overnight and if we went out ,he never chose to go in it IYSWIM , it was also huge and taking up too much of my lounge. We just moved all his blankets to the area in the hall where we wanted him to sleep and started shutting him in the hall overnight and when we are out ( its quite large) . He didnt seem to notice TBH , but then as I said he wasn't that attached to his crate .

Mine came from Battersea at 15 weeks so I'm not sure if the crate had memories of the cages there , although he was only there a week . I've always let him on the sofas so I think given a choice that's where he is .
