The doghouse

hiding bones and socks around the house, oh, and barking

So, onlydog, fully recovered from surgery has found some new endearing habits. Barking is one, she has turned into a impressive but noisy guard dog. Have read the way to tackle this is teach 'talk' then 'quiet'? Any short cuts to quiet??

Also, she has taken to pinching socks from the clothes rail and 'burying' them in the sofas etc. She'll also do it with a chewy bone with lots of squeaking. Should I be training her to put the washing away?? She doesn't seem to remember where she puts them!

My boy is obsessed with socks as well. He's figured out how to get the lid off the laundry basket and goes foraging for socks. Will pull out other things just to get to the socks so have walked in on him before surrounded by a pile of clothes with a sock in his mouth and a 'look what I've got' big happy face on him.

onlydog sits and waits for 7 yr old DS to give her his sweaty little socks when he comes in from school Smile. I do remember seeing a poster at the vets though about the cost of sock removal surgery so glad she doesn't actually eat them, just 'bury' them

yes teach her to speak and say WHOS A GOOD GIRL when she barks and try and ignore when she barks when you dont want her too, it really didnt take mine long to learn he also 'helps' me empty the drier It stopped his sock and pant obsession he loved pants Blush so when the dryer opens he is there with his head in , he 'helps' and doesn't steal socks anymore, {still loves pants though
