I have shamelessly ripped this idea off from a Facebook page some of you might know, but thought we might start our own in the Doghouse. So what are your dog related resolutions for 2013? I'll start with:

  1. accept DH will never allow a third and stop pining over rescue pages
  2. swallow my embarrassment and rope in some neighbours and their little people to improve pup's jumping up
  3. get Spicydog pressing the buzzer to go out
  4. do some courses on training and/or behaviour (for fun, not a career change)

With DC1 due this month we'll have to see how well I get on, but I at least hope to:

  1. Teach Pupcake 1 to Stand, and to retrieve different articles by name
  2. Teach Pupcake 2 to twist and give paw
  3. Read Karen Pryor's book (xmas pressie!)

I'm not aiming too high :)

I did one of Sarah Whitehead's Alpha Dog Training courses - loved it.

Ohhh so many...

  1. Prepare for summer - ie address barking in the garden and teach to poo somewhere specific ( and at least not in herbs or strawberries or near kids things)

  1. Try to stop jumping up

  1. Do some obediance classes

Better leave it there while still vaguely managable....

Oh Ijustwant - you have reminded me:

4) somehow dog-proof the fruit bed, so pupcakes don't eat their own weight in blueberries and raspberries this year!

wash dogs bed more often, it smells bad, wash dogs more often, they smell bad, take eric back to training as he enjoys it so much.

To succeed in the notion that recall is a neccisity, and you can opt out.

Pimmsdog

will pass his Bronze award

will learn to stop hearding the youngest DC

Oh and I will train the DC to stop running in the house so pimmsdog doesn't need to learn to stop chasing them in the house Grin
