I was talking to my dad yesterday saying that I'd like a small dog that doesn't malt much-maybe with a bit of poodle/bichon in and maybe the size of a cocker/cavalier king charles spaniel. We looked them up and crosses between these dogs (cavapoo/cockerpoo/cavachon) which AREN'T pedigree as they are cross-breeds, cost about £200 more than the pedigree poodles/cockers!? My dad said scoffingly that they used to be called mongrels/crossbreeds and didn't cost the earth!
I know that there are mongrel/Heinz 57 dogs out there-the dog rescues are full of them, but can you actually get a (less than £700) cross breed puppy and if so, where!?
