So, when rescue pup came to us 2 months ago she had a tiny opening at the bottom of her scar from being spayed which looked to me like it just hadn't healed up properly and she was licking it a lot. Vet gave her antibiotics and said to give it time. Took her back to vets a few weeks later because didn't seem right and was given (very expensive) steroid cream which I may as well have squirted straight into her mouth because she just licked it off...so, took her to a new vet on Wednesday and thankfully they took a good look at it and reckon she's had a reaction to one stitch and she's on anti inflammatory meds and antibiotics and we've been told not to walk her for a week, just out for pees then lots of rest. I really want her to heal up because she may have to have the stitch removed and restitched if it doesn't but she and I are going stir crazy already and the poor cats are getting the brunt of all the unspent energy!
Anyone had similar? I know it's only a week just seems quite cautious when she's tearing round the house instead!

Training really exhausts mine, much more than physical exercise. is there something you could teach that wouldn't upset the scar? Or get some food puzzles so she can work her brain a bit. Take her for a drive laying down'

Have you tried '101 things to do with a box?'. I've just started this with my dog, and 15 minutes absolutely exhausts him.

Yes, will take opportunity to train. This afternoon have kind of mastered high five and a wobbly beg type thing. Then she found the unrolled the xmas wrapping paper and decorated it with teeth marks...can you train dogs to tidy the house???
