limping whippet!

hello, our whippet is 20 weeks old. This is the second time now after a mad race about when out that he has come vack with a limp to back left leg. It doesnt bother him when you examine it and he's not yelping and doesnt seem in any distress. last time it righted itself in aday or so but as this is mow 2nd time in 4 weeks should we take him to the vet? he's not a graceful mover and im wondering if its maybe muscle strain happening whilst he finds he 'feet'!

If he were my dog I'd rest him for a few days (lead walks only) and if it doesn't get better then get him to the vet.

We've had this issue with our terrier and the vets have found nothing . I just limit his exercise for a few days . I think if he was a child he'd be one of those that would be at A & E every few days thinking they'd broken something!

Our Lurcher did the same when he was six months, I took him to the vet who prescribed some painkillers and rest.

Haven't a clue I'm afraid. This happened to my friends whippet a few weeks ago, she was walking with her back kegs sticking out, looked a bit like she'd shat herself she was fine the next day though. She's 2.

If you trust your vet I would give them a call to ask whether they think you should bring him in. Mine have always been good about advising when to keep an eye on them and when to bring them as it might be more serious.
