Our 15 week pup has green gunk coming out of her ear. I've cleaned her up and booked her into the vet. I'm wondering though did something happen to cause this or is it something we just have to keep an eye on ? Thank you
I think spaniels are pretty prone to ear infections because the flaps stop air circulating and they get warm and moist. Perfect breeding ground for all sorts for fungal and bacterial nasties.
My Old Dog is a Lab/Curly Coated Retriever cross and she's suffered with ear problems all her life. She's allergic to huge numbers of things which trigger it and then the flappy ears encourage the infection.
