Recommendations for sturdy, comfy dog bedding

Our dogs get muddy after daily walks in the forest and I'm stuggling to keep their bedding clean(ish). Do you lot have any recommendations for sturdy bedding that can be easily washed and dried? Is the 'Vet Bed' range good? Is it sufficient on it's own or does it need extra padding underneath? TIA

We have a couple of vetbeds. They wash easily in the machine (although I haven't discovered how to deal with the hairs!) and dry really quickly. DDog just has vetbed in the summer but has a cosy soft bed in his crate now. I use the vetbed after walks while he's still muddy.

I use VetBed for the pup and wash in one of these to stop the hairs getting all over the machine. I really like it as it washes well and dries very fast.

He has a crash mat a bit like this underneath for extra padding.

Vet bed is fab. Wash and tumble there will be no dog smell at all. It lets the water through so the the vetbed stays dry for the dog to lie on.

Equafleeces although expensive are great for drying dogs - put on after a walk dog is dry very quickly and then pop in the wash. Dry dog - clean and dry bed/car

Spicy bear - I love you - that bag for washing dog beds might just be my saviour!

Thanks so much, SP. I've just ordered one of those brilliant washbags. Perfect! I'm tired of the washing machine filter getting clogged with doghair!

SpicyDog is short haired but went to board with a black lab for a few nights and they of course swapped beds/blankets etc. I could not believe the hairs when I washed them so when we got a rough coated pup I got straight on the internet to find something!
