A bit of a worrying episode this morning with BlackDog that I hope a wise soul can advise about :)
BlackDog is a female rottweiler, just turned 12 years old. She has always been super fit and healthy, even now she is medication free. She happily joined us on a 3 1/2 mile walk last weekend (though at a slightly more sedate pace and with a couple of rests in the middle) and still enjoys a quick pootle around an agility course when I take the GingerDog. Eyes are a bit cloudy and hearing is more selective than ever fading slightly but otherwise no real clue that she is the age she is.
This morning she was snuffling about as normal, then all of a sudden came to me. Her inner eyelids were showing, you could see the whites of her eyes and she was licking her lips in an agitated way. As quickly as it started it stopped, she seemed a bit dazed and is perhaps now a little quieter than usual (but probably only noticeable as we are on the lookout for sinister symptoms)
We guessed it was possibly a very small stroke, does this sound likely? Quite frankly there would be little to see if I took her to the vet where she would present in rudely good health, all the while attempting to take chunks out the vet and I have been expecting her run of supremely good health to begin to waver, given her age and her breed so no real surprise TBH.
I guess its just a case of keeping an eye on her and waiting to see what happens?

Does this sound like a mini stroke?
