I'm nowhere near either. Just saw it on FB and thought I'd repost. Sad to think of all the dogs with nowhere to go tonight.

if I could get out of the estate I live on I would ring them and take a couple over night but unfortunately we are flooded in :(

On a positive we are about 1 hour away from them and it has stopped raining here so hopefully they will be able to sort it out

Yes hopefully the fire brigade can help with pumping, etc. sorry to hear you're flooded in. Is your house dry? Inside of it obviously! Grin

They're OK for now apparently, according to FB.

They do ask people to check for updates though.
I'm fostering one of theirs, I was going to call with a query tomorrow but won't bother now!

viva we are ok we actually live on a slight hill and it is the bottom of the hill (the only road out) that is flooded. If it rains overnight I am sure DD will not be at school tomorrow the village she goes to school in had 2 of the 3 roads shut due to flooding and the final road you had to drive through 1/2 foot of water to get through it.

I will check tomorrow and if we can get out and they still need help I will ring them

They did say to keep on checking though, so it's good to raise awareness Brian.
They're at the bottom of a fairly steep lane.

I'm in Cheshire but too far to help, otherwise I'd have been there in a flash!

I'm Cheshire tooGrin, but Chester so not too far.
We fostered a dog from them 2 weeks ago, just as well really!

ah, I have a dog, cats and a young child so although I would be willing to foster I would be unsure if they would be able to find a suitable dog BUT I would always offer, then they can make the call knowing the dog's temperament and suitability.

My friend just put on my FB wall (I posted on there and asked people to share as have friends on the border) and she said the last she read/heard was they were struggling to find non-child foster homes, for the dogs who are not suitable for such homes Sad

That rules me out then.
