I want to say a big massive thank you.

You posted on a thread today about www.doglaw.co.uk

I phoned them today and spoke to a lovely man who agrees with me that there has been very little academic literature on the Dangerous Dogs Order in Northern Ireland.

And it would make an excellent subject for a dissertation in my degree grin

They are doing a seminar in Northern Ireland in January and if I cough up the dough and go along, they will give me enough info to give me a start on my dissertation grin

The law here is different. And the Lennox case has brought it into sharp focus. I want to look at the deficiencies and ways to move forward.

And there's no academic studies here that I could find and the bloke I spoke to said that was right grin and they would help me

Not only will you have a unique and interesting topic for your dissertation you'll be helping to highlight the arse that is the DDA - good for you.

Good luck, though I'm sure you won't need it. Seems there is far more to cover on the topic than either of us first thought when you raised the idea in your pm. You go girl, keep us informed of how you're getting on please. smile

If you want to internationalise it, something similar has just been brought into Victoria, Australia after a 4 year old was killed by a pit bull cross.
