he used to be ok till we got up between 7-8am.

over xmas the teenagers each side of us have had parties and he was agiatated by that and barking at 4-5am.

i have got up and let him out this morning at 4am when he started, but he didnt dio anything, so put him back to bed and went back myself.

at 5am he started up again. I gave up and dozed on the sofa with him next to me, but he is really whining atm. and very very vocal.

We have noticed his balls have fully descended recently (he is being booked in for the chop in the new year), could this be having any affect on his behaviour?

He isnt a bad dog, he doesnt chew things up, or destroy the house, is very happy to be asleep and have his belly rubbed. He doesnt hump things etc etc.

just very loud.

He's probably worked out that if he wakes up early and wants a cuddle/some company, then making a racket will work! One of our greys is like this. Once he has woken up and is ready for his morning tickles, we are treated to the dawn chorus (to be fair, usually around 8.30 at this time of year). Nothing to do with impending babies. It's his way of telling you he's lonely and wants your company. What's particularly annoying/special about our little performer is that he'll squeak until you come downstairs, settle in for a cuddle, have five minutes then happily return to sleep curled up next to you. By this time annoyed owner is fully awake and can't go back to sleep. Sigh. Grin

lol thought so. but he is sooo loud you cant ignore him.

he starts with a little whimper, then starts getting louder and louder till its a full on howl.

dh used to get at 5 for work and think he made a fuss of him then as well.

little buggers, worse than children at times.
