What does my whippet need for snowy weather walks?

I'm looking at this coat. Is that enough or should I get a snood too?

Or are there better coats somewhere?

One of my ex foster dogs, a Grey, is sporting a coat highly recommended by his owner.

Here's what the owner said:
Toni on Sighthounds on Line makes dog raincoats. They are warm, weather proof but lightweight. M
If anyone requires this type of coat for their dog, whether Hound or other breed then Toni, who lives in Spain, makes them, also Martingale House Collars and Leather collars for hounds and other breeds. If you contact her she will ask you for the measurements needed to ensure the coats/collars fit okay. She also makes Christmas Coats (Santa Claus Coats) if you want one. All three of my hounds have their Santa Claus Coats

Even paying p & p from Spain these coats are very much less than what is charged for Equafleeces in the UK.

Her web site is www.flash-hounds.co.uk

Thanks Val, I cannot see any coats on there, maybe they have sold out?

I have ordered a luminous pink one from ebay now, but there was a v nice collar on that site that she will be getting for x-mas.

And just to explain the unfortunate colour of coat, dd1 wanted purple, Dh wanted hi-vis yellow as he was worried about her running off and getting hit by a car. Luminous pink is the compromise Hmm

Santa coats are something that is getting argued about currently. dd1 wants one and she is her puppy, Dh says there is no way in hell any dog of his will wear a santa suit. I suspect dd1 will win, as always. And she is right, she is my her puppy.

Would Scruff need a coat? Dh thinks he was shivering when he took him out last night.

Watever you get make sure it is padded and lined for the really cold weather.

She shouldn't need it when running around, just for lead walks, indeed be very careful of whippets running in anything with straps, legs can get caught and break.

Any dog that is cold when walking could do with a coatSmile.
