lilaclotus Mon 04-Jul-05 16:44:08

it was ok. nothing amazing. she cooked a meal with chicken and mango and a passion fruit dessert and chatted to val kilmer.

sorrel Mon 04-Jul-05 16:48:23

oh was it more than just cooking then? Did dhe do flrting

spacedonkey Mon 04-Jul-05 16:48:49

caught a bit of it, she was talking about sex

strugstu Mon 04-Jul-05 16:50:28

i thought it was painful! presenting doesnt come naturally to her.

lilaclotus Mon 04-Jul-05 16:51:04

yes that too!

sorrel Mon 04-Jul-05 16:52:38

just can;t imagine her interviewing someone a la Jonathon Ross/Gloria honeyford. Must have been a bit stilted

strugstu Mon 04-Jul-05 16:55:15

think she is a lovely person- but crikey it made me cringe!

Have to agree. Watched it today and, though I dearly love Nigella, it was painful. Stilted conversation and she looked as if she was just trying to get through it.

I only caught the tail end of it and she appeared strained.
Infact i was going to start a thread asking if she's had plastic surgery! She was always so pretty and today seemed all .....tight...and wierd!!!!!

I like her, but why is she doing this sort of thing? Wouldn't have thought it was up her street and she doen't need the money?

velcrobott Mon 11-Jul-05 14:05:31

I have watcehd a couple of times now and it is awful actually.
What is she wearing?????? Another who could be going on "What not to wear", she is a mix of Olivia Newton-John in Grease and Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music ... with boobs in a push up bra (well maybe it's not push up and she just has loads of it!)

MrsDoolittle Mon 11-Jul-05 14:07:12

Cringe worthy!!

handlemecarefully Mon 11-Jul-05 14:07:14

She's looking older isn't she (evil cackle)

Saw it last week, not today

Iklboo Mon 11-Jul-05 14:07:27

I heard a vicious rumour that she's v short sighted but won't even wear contact lenses on screen in case you can see them. She can't read the autocue and so relies on people 'in her ear' telling her what to do and that's why it comes across so stilted.

velcrobott Mon 11-Jul-05 14:09:46

She also looks too hot... she has sweat on her upper lip .... not impressed.... but her dress sense is really awful!

soapbox Mon 11-Jul-05 14:09:56

I have prioiry tickets to the show on 14th July (Thursday) which I now can't use. Does anyone want them?

MaloryTowers Mon 11-Jul-05 14:10:26

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Made her chicken nuggets yesterday (she did them on the show). Very nice.

soapbox Wed 13-Jul-05 11:24:09

Still got the tickets for tomorrow - Neil Morrisey is joining her.

Anyone want them, or is it really that awful

Nbg Wed 13-Jul-05 11:26:18

She even looked uptight when she was cooking, I thought.

fimbelle Fri 29-Jul-05 18:03:42

Rubbish show, crap presenter, utter tripe. I watched it today and i wont watch it again. I cant stand her i used to think she was alright, but she got married too quickly after her hubby died and that put me right off her,

Fauve Fri 29-Jul-05 19:08:59

I'm sure someone will want the tickets, soapbox - maybe you get some of the food afterwards

But it is awful TV - long time since I've seen anything so painful to watch. Even the guests are obviously wondering what's going on.
