I recorded them so that I could watch them with dd (writing that it sounds sad lol but I'm at work all day and I like a good cuddle on the couch with dd!)

Just watched this last 2 parter - thought the Judoon were fabulous!

Oh yes, you have been missing out. Some of the baddies are even scarier than on Dr. Who.

yes that long toungued thing (sycorax?) was quite scary the way it took over bodies

It's just a pity Sarah Jane is such a crap actor.

I do love Horrible Histories though

yes, that's dd's fave (horrible histories). They are doing the Tudors and she can't stop singing the Horrible Histories Henry VII song!

She is hoping to get one of the dvd sets for Christmas

or even Henry VIII!

I do the "stupid deaths" song and wavey arm dance to annoy the DC! Brilliant programme, I learn so much!

DD is a DR Who fannatic so we've had to watch SJ 2 days in a row, she appears to be watching HH all the time . It's like monty python for children nice to see a childrens programme being underplayed for a change.

I'm looking forward to the Doctor's appearance!

yes me too MrMump. I got expelled from History so my knowledge stops (shamefully - and I am actually quite embarrassed by this!) around the time when the Feudal system was still in place lol so I have a lot to learn still! Finally, when I'm nearing 40, I've decided to do something about it. I've learned a lot from those programmes!

Yes, will be interesting to see when the Doctor appears. I wonder if they will reciprocate and the children and SJ will appear on Doctor Who. I like the children in SJ.

fox: they already have. SJ and Luke were in the Dalek 2-parter at the end of the last series.

The Doctor is in the "wedding" episode - not sure when that is.

Somone said the other day it was going to be on at half term.
On a related note, apparently Hamlet is going to be on Christmas Day, which will mean DT getting quite a lot of festive air-time!

UnquietDad · 17/10/2009 00:11

half-term? that would make sense. Isn't "Waters of Mars" on then too?

Report
RustyBear · 17/10/2009 00:28

I've only heard 'November' for Waters of Mars - maybe the 23rd? Though I think that's a Monday, so probably not.

Btw, I assume the 'helpful Aunt' bit was an SJ reference?

UnquietDad · 17/10/2009 02:10

oh yes

"capacious pockets" too, did you notice?...

Report
RustyBear · 17/10/2009 08:04

And I loved "We-are-in-a-bar"

nymphadora · 17/10/2009 09:02

Oh no have we missed the start of them ? We never have tv on now and have missed trailers. How many have we missed?

Report
foxinsocks · 17/10/2009 09:11

I think you can watch them on cbbc iplayer nymph

oh UD, I will check the old Dr Who episode for that. I must have missed that one!

It's just been the two Judoon episodes so far. They are repeated in omnibus form today on CBBC, and I think tomorrow as well.

"Have nice day" was my favourite bit.

Ds loves SJ. Plenty of running down corridors which I enjoy as a Dr Who trademark.

Fox, got to ask, what on earth did you to get expelled from history?
