I recorded them so that I could watch them with dd (writing that it sounds sad lol but I'm at work all day and I like a good cuddle on the couch with dd!)

Just watched this last 2 parter - thought the Judoon were fabulous!

Oh yes, you have been missing out. Some of the baddies are even scarier than on Dr. Who.

foxinsocks Fri 16-Oct-09 19:36:50

yes that long toungued thing (sycorax?) was quite scary the way it took over bodies

cocolepew Fri 16-Oct-09 19:37:56

It's just a pity Sarah Jane is such a crap actor.

I do love Horrible Histories though grin

foxinsocks Fri 16-Oct-09 19:40:26

yes, that's dd's fave (horrible histories). They are doing the Tudors and she can't stop singing the Horrible Histories Henry VII song!

She is hoping to get one of the dvd sets for Christmas wink

foxinsocks Fri 16-Oct-09 19:40:43

or even Henry VIII!

mrmump Fri 16-Oct-09 19:44:05

I do the "stupid deaths" song and wavey arm dance to annoy the DC! Brilliant programme, I learn so much!

cocolepew Fri 16-Oct-09 19:44:26

DD is a DR Who fannatic so we've had to watch SJ 2 days in a row, she appears to be watching HH all the time hmm. It's like monty python for children grin nice to see a childrens programme being underplayed for a change.

RustyBear Fri 16-Oct-09 19:49:44

I'm looking forward to the Doctor's appearance!

foxinsocks Fri 16-Oct-09 19:53:39

yes me too MrMump. I got expelled from History so my knowledge stops (shamefully - and I am actually quite embarrassed by this!) around the time when the Feudal system was still in place lol so I have a lot to learn still! Finally, when I'm nearing 40, I've decided to do something about it. I've learned a lot from those programmes!

Yes, will be interesting to see when the Doctor appears. I wonder if they will reciprocate and the children and SJ will appear on Doctor Who. I like the children in SJ.

UnquietDad Fri 16-Oct-09 23:43:46

fox: they already have. SJ and Luke were in the Dalek 2-parter at the end of the last series.

The Doctor is in the "wedding" episode - not sure when that is.

RustyBear Sat 17-Oct-09 00:10:08

Somone said the other day it was going to be on at half term.
On a related note, apparently Hamlet is going to be on Christmas Day, which will mean DT getting quite a lot of festive air-time!

UnquietDad Sat 17-Oct-09 00:11:51

half-term? that would make sense. Isn't "Waters of Mars" on then too?

RustyBear Sat 17-Oct-09 00:28:50

I've only heard 'November' for Waters of Mars - maybe the 23rd? Though I think that's a Monday, so probably not.

Btw, I assume the 'helpful Aunt' bit was an SJ reference? grin

UnquietDad Sat 17-Oct-09 02:10:11

oh yes

"capacious pockets" too, did you notice?...

RustyBear Sat 17-Oct-09 08:04:41

And I loved "We-are-in-a-bar"

nymphadora Sat 17-Oct-09 09:02:40

Oh no have we missed the start of them ? We never have tv on now and have missed trailers. How many have we missed?

foxinsocks Sat 17-Oct-09 09:11:09

I think you can watch them on cbbc iplayer nymph

oh UD, I will check the old Dr Who episode for that. I must have missed that one!

nymphadora Sat 17-Oct-09 09:47:42

Have just got the 2 Judoon ones on iplayer , is that all we have missed?

When are they on?

foxinsocks Sat 17-Oct-09 09:54:53

Thursday and Friday at 4.35 I think

these are the first new ones on BBC1 I believe

think there were others on CBBC but not sure if they were old ones or not

UnquietDad Sat 17-Oct-09 10:00:57

It's just been the two Judoon episodes so far. They are repeated in omnibus form today on CBBC, and I think tomorrow as well.
