How busy is that cafe going to be now, I would be in there like a shot. Anyone live in Brighton and been?

And how good did Brighton look, lovely sunsets.

That looked scrummy! I really miss soul food. Mmm, jambalaya.

One thing I missed at the beginning, was the head chef the proprietor's partner? He was dishy!

yes it was the first place he had been that he actually liked the food before he had even done anything there. The woman that ran it was lovely too.

Why does he always have to get his chest out though, have you noticed...in EVERY episode.

I saw the second half and felt a bit sad that we no longer live near Brighton as it looked a fun place to go. Nice to see GR not shooting his mouth off quite so aggressively for a change. I swear he only said the f word once every four or five sentences last night as opposed to four or five time a sentence.

(I blame him for my overuse of the f word these days. I seem to say it all the time for no apparent reason).

we ate in there in april, the manageress is EXACTLY like she was on tv last night, she is very friendly, came over and chatted to us.

I was gobsmacked when i saw it on tv last night.

food really is delicous in there, but we went in on a sat afternoon so menu was a little bit more expensive but well worth a visit.

I have to say that there is something incredibly sexy about GR, cant put my finger on it.

Oh course he is sexy. It is his commanding bearing. He is very successful and you know he got there by his own drive and effort.

Not sure about the chin dimple though

He only complained about the salads and frozen dishes.

My DH was an official at the Ricky Hatton fight in Manchester last weekend - Ramsey could only get on the second row, not with the VIPs.

(Oh and a deliberate namedrop here - DH met Russell Crowe)

we go to brighton quite a bit and had seen the restaurant but always walked past, mainly because i wasn't sure what soul food was and just thought it would be a something like tgi's. will def give it a go next time i'm there, thats if i can get a table, cos they are going to be really busy now after the programme.
expat - the head chef wasn't her partner, just an employee. he was married with a daughter though.
Gordon Ramsey - not my type of man, too old and wrinkly!

Forget GR, I'll take the head chef. Yummy! But he's taken, isn't he the manageresses man?

Russell Crowe did do it for me at one point- around gladiator time he was bloody sexy. Now i think he has anger issues that need adressing. Again a man full of passion and energy.

Doesn't GR have about 5 kids who he keeps with the wife in the country while he works 14 hour days in London and all over the world (ie hardly ever sees). Not my type but I can see the attraction (money/fame/power and nice abs).

The manageress was married to the quiet looking accountant type who ran the bar. I think the chef might have been a little bit young for her.

GR has 4 daughters and far from being stuck in the country, his wife is also a food editor. She has a food column in 'Grazia' mag.

I bet the kids have to eat olives then

I saw their kitchen in the observer food magazine which looked very expensive and frighteningly clean.
