I think the previous two series were even better than this one, so definitely worth you getting hold of.

Charles Brandon is certainly yummy. He did some ads for an aftershave and I found myself staring at one for several minutes before someone shouted my name. He is too old for Twilight though.

I think Joss Stone did a great job but she's too pretty for the storyline to be believeable. It just looks like Henry has lost his marbles. Perhaps he had.

Can I butt in - jenk definitely buy series 1 and 2. I started watching series 2 and DH bought me series 1, they are sooo good and I agree better than this one. It is all going to be over far too quickly though!!

If they were taking the Holbein painting into account then perhaps it was to do more with Henry's virility than anything on Anne's part. Because didn't he suffer similar with his next wife, only she got the chop?

I don't believe there is any evidence that he didn't. There were no children though so one can never be 100% sure. We only know he consummated his first three because there were children and great publicity about his inability with poor old Anne. I think it is almost certain that he did with Katherine Howard - that one was all about lust.

Well, Anne of Cleves wasn't actually that much of a moose, it was that Henry by that point was pushing 50, corpulent, ulcerous & probably impotent. Not the image this series is projecting!
