Does anyone know why STV is not showing The Bill Kingdom etc when ITV1 is ?
Why are we being shown shite different programmes ?
For example tonight at 9pm instead of The Bill we have Seeing Scotland Special wtf ??

Because those twunts at STV have decided they are being charged 'too much' for ITV drama, so are no longer going to show The Bill, Kingdom, Doc Martin, and many more. I was most narked about Wuthering Heights the other week.

They will lose their already diminishing ad revenue - people won't watch the crap they're passing off as replacement programming, and in fact if you have Sky or Freesat you can watch ITV anyway.

I think there are some questions being asked by MSPs. Hopefully STV will come to their senses!

I think The Bill is availiable to those in STV region on ITV 2/3 or 4 on another weeknight

There is no logic to it heididrink. They are trying to save money by refusing to buy ITV programming, they still have to spend money buying or make replacement programming, and they're losing ad revenue too. Of course if they hadn't got rid of most of their production facilities and staff, they might be able to make some good homemade Scottish tv and sell it to other networks too. Bampots!!

Do you have Freesat or cable - if you do I think you can watch ITV London (or other ITV regional station). We don't so I have my fingers crossed for repeats on ITV2, 3 or 4!

I thought it was bad enough that BBC Scotland were putting on The Wire 30 minutes later last week (11.50 instead of 11.20)- there seemed no logic - they just put on a random Mock the Week after Newsnight instead. I was seething until I realised I could watch BBC England on Virgin Media - they hadn't dicked around with The Wire schedule down there thankfully.

I hadn't realised that this thing had happened with STV - seems a very commercially stupid idea.

Saltire, I think they're ONLY going to show Taggart! It's about the only thing they make themselves that's any good these days.
