How come he has been on TV for 3 or 4 years already and he still looks 14?!

BrigitBigKnickers Mon 31-Aug-09 12:54:01

I was thinking only the other day it was about time for another Gareth fix <swoon>

MaryAnnSingleton Mon 31-Aug-09 13:18:47

I love his programmes! He is absolutely brilliant at getting things done, and everyone gets to have a good time, and I always cry at least once during every episode (but in a good waysmile!)

Countingthegreyhairs Tue 01-Sep-09 18:46:09

Yipppeeee!!!

emsiewill Tue 01-Sep-09 22:03:25

OMG!!! I love this programme, I love this man.

He is just so inspirational.

I am in a choir, it keeps me sane, I love it, but I don't think people can understand how energising and inspiring it is. This programme shows them how enjoyable singing can be.

<<Swoon, swoon>>

Katisha Tue 01-Sep-09 22:06:12

That was really uplifting telly.
And fortunately they didn't try to ratchet up tension that wasn't there like most reality programmes.
He is brilliant. We need him cloned.

emsiewill Tue 01-Sep-09 22:09:13

Yes, I was really glad that there was no false building of tension over whether there would be anyone turning up - he was a bit concerned, but then 200 people came. No drama, just all round warm feelings!

I love Gareth. He's so damn young and enthusiastic and silly in an engaging way. All seems to be going suspiciously well, though - next week they'll be leaving in droves. Or he'll get stabbed.

emsiewill Tue 01-Sep-09 22:14:51

It is wierd how they all just accept him, even though he is supremely (in his words) "middle class". Some of it must have been set up in advance - can't believe he really just strolled into the boxing club and was accepted just like that.

I was watching and wondering how much of the appeal of the choir was to do with getting on the telly.

Still, doesn't really matter why they came, the fact is they did, and they enjoyed it.

EccentricaGallumbits Tue 01-Sep-09 22:19:52

I do love him. Such a thoroughly nice chap.

MaryAnnSingleton Tue 01-Sep-09 22:34:41

oh I love it - go Gospel girl !! and sad widower - awww.
I would love to be in a choir

PheasantPlucker Tue 01-Sep-09 22:46:06

I love Gareth. And believe he should be available to all on the NHS.

I have the RAH performance by the boys choir from a few years back saved, and I watch it if I am feeling a bit low. I love it when he mouths 'This is it'.

Oh God I love Gareth Malone!

MrsSantoslovestheNHS Tue 01-Sep-09 22:50:08

Awww - I miss singing in the choir - too hard to arrange with LOs. He is great - weirdly attractive in a totally non sexy but compelling manner smile

BrigitBigKnickers Tue 01-Sep-09 22:56:51

Loved it, Loved it!

Reality TV at its best.

Me too Mrssanto I used to love singing in a choir. There is no way I could do it mainly because I spend all my time running the DDs to all their activities.

MaryAnnSingleton Tue 01-Sep-09 22:57:15

Pheasant - I have that favourited too - always cheers me up !

RTKangaMummy Tue 01-Sep-09 23:21:38

LIZS Wed 02-Sep-09 19:06:14

fab programme , he has real charisma [swoon]

BellaLasagne Wed 02-Sep-09 19:09:17

I've been in his presence (you may touch my hand!!) as he taught a mass choir composed from our local primary schools and my daughter was singing in it. He is absolutely brilliant with children, and pretty good with swooning mums too!

My only disappointment is that he's very small (petite) and has just got married!
