What programmes transfix your toddler?

My DD, who is almost 2, is now obsessed with Charlie and Lola. When she sees the television she shouts 'Lola' and turns it on, even though it's only on for 10 minutes a day. When it actually does come on she runs and tells everybody 'LOLA'.

Previously she would get very excited about In The Night Garden, but she's lost a lot of interest in that now.

She likes wildlife programmes as well, but won't do what she's done now, which is sit on my lap staring Charlie and Lola for three consecutive episodes on youtube, saying 'More' after each one.

For my DD, whos is 3, it used to be In the Night Garden and Maisy. Now it's Peppa Pig, Numberjacks and Charlie & Lola. Oh, and my DH has got her into Scooby Doo purely because he likes it.

My DS who is 1 is now completely immobilised by Teletubbies and In the Night Garden.

Total Wipeout and You've been framed. Anything where people hurt themselves in a comedy fashion really.

She's 19 mths and not interested in anything on telly apart from the ocassional wildlife prog but screams & claps when these shows are on. Similarly runs to the telly shouting more.

Mr Tumble! Mr Tumble! WHenever my DD 2.6 sees ITNG on, she shouts for Mr Tumble, as she knows Something Special comes on afterwards!

She is a good little talker, and will accompany each word copied from Justin and Mr Tumble with a variety of hand movements - not really the actual signs, but she gives it a good go! Her favourite signs are "I'm sad" - which we get whenever we hear a baby crying when out and about, and "yes" - which she uses all the time lol!

She was transfixed a few weeks back when she caught sight of some cheeky monkeys orang-u-tangs on a wildlife programme, and still talks about the poor monkey who fell - resulting in her shouting "hold tight cheeky monkey"!

2.6yo ds2 loves Peppa Pig, Kipper and Wonder Pets. He's loved Peppa for months now and would happily watch the same DVD on repeat all day if he was allowed .

Something Special. My 23mo twins are absolutely obsessed with everything Mr Tumble does. They both sign along with him and get very very excited when he's on tv.

Big Barn Farm - my 2 yr old DS gets to watch some TV before he goes to bath. I have sky plussed loads of stuff from CBeebies for him, but he only wants to watch Big Barn Farm. After he has watched one episode, if you ask him if he wants to watch another programme, he just says "more big barn". I wouldn't mind but they only made 20 episodes, so I know them all off by heart now!

my ds, 2.5, has very limited vocabulary (glue ear only rectified recently) but dispite this (and as a testimony to my parenting) most of his words revolve around cbeebies - peppa, lola, noot noot (pingu incase you're wondering)
have spent so long watching Justin in one guise or another with my 2 dc that feel i have an unhealthy obessession. Really, that man is everywhere - mr tumble (obviuously), a voice on the tweenies and shaun the sheep and Boo, as well as Tikkabilla and Higgeldy Piggedly house(see what I mean about unhealthy?)

Ds is 1 and glued to In the Night Garden and Something Special when it comes on. I quite miss nice baby TV. Dd would watch Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents all day long if I let her...

think parents favourite is probably baby einstein? you get to feel positively virtuous for watching telly with young child in the cosy glow that it can only be doing them good!!

Ds loves The Night Garden and will sit nearly for a whole 30 minutes to watch it. He also gets really excited over Peppa pig.
I know if these are on i can get on with a few jobs and know he'll stay put!

He will watch,

Charlie and Lola
Thomas
Wonder pets

but wont give them his full attention, he's 19 months.

Anything sporty... football and tennis are his current faves, but he also loves anything with fast cars or motorbikes... motogp and Formula One are bit hits. Not remotely interested in cartoons or childrens telly. His father is bursting with pride at his obssession with sport.

At the moment he likes:

Kipper
Fireman Sam
Postman Pat
Mr Tumble (of course)

For ages it was Maisy, then INTG, Little Red Tractor and Big Barn Farm. He flirted briefly with Timmy Time but like others he likes to watch the same programme over and over again. He also likes Pippin, but only the episode about rubbish. I am heartily sick of it.

Sounds like he watches a lot, but we use sky plus and watch episodes at restricted times of the day, usually while I'm feeding DS2.

DS is 2.4 He is still transfixed by ITNG and also has quite an obsession with 3rd and Bird. He also requests 2 particular CBeebies bedtime stories over & over again - Stickman read by Derek Jacobi and Winnie in Winter read by some bloke called Tom - our hard drive recorder is FULL of ITNG, 3rd&Bird and bedtime stories as that is all he wants to watch - if the TV goes on for anything else we just hear "Ni-dardan" "Buds" "Wisch" or "tickma" from him until we give in!

He will sit and watch Rugby though (Think DH must be bribing him with ice cream or something!

Waybaloo...

It is quite odd.

He is nearly 2.

He does the yoga.

He shouts hurray as soon as it comes on and pretends to float up in the air whilst making monkey Oo Oo noises an appropriate accompanying hand gestures...

And we all love The Simpsons too.

Tom (3.2) loved INTG last year. He likes Bits & Bobs, the aeroplane in Come Outside, Brum and something else that I can't remember. Oh, and Thomas.

He does like Total Wipeout. He used to like watching the lottery.
