I'll start off with:

The Office
I'm Alan Partridge
Only Fools and Horses
Dawson's Creek

I know you can watch repeats, but not the same as a new weekly episode !

Oh yes I loved Alan Partridge, I never get bored of the repeats.

I used to love things like This Life, My So Called Life and Party of Five. The latter is being repeated on Sky but I would have loved another series.

omg I was going to say This Life

Great minds think alike Blue

The one off special wasn't very satisfactory imo

Oh yes I used to watch Party of Five! Glad I've found another Partridge fan - I think it's an acquired taste of humour - my dp does not get it at all!

Oh I love I'm Alan Partridge.

DAN!! DAN!! DAN!! DAN!!

Heard an interview with Steve Coogan on Radio 1 a couple of week's back, he says that the Partridge may be coming back...

I also loved Absolutely Fabulous and Curb Your Enthusiasm. And Spike Milligan's Q Series.

My DP hates Alan Partidge as well. He deigned to watch the repeat of the one where they steal traffic cones and get caught by coppers, I was laughing my socks off and he just sat there stony faced. He didn't find it funny at all.

GetOrfMoiLand - my friend and I used to work on adjacent cosmetics counters and used to shout DAN!DAN! at each other - everyone else thought we were insane!
I heard that they are making an Alan Partridge film!!! If it is true I can't wait - it's allegedly Bond-esque!

Re The Office, does anyone watch the American Office (with Steve Carrell), it's as funny as the UK one imo. Some of them are directed by Steve Merchant (FACT!)

I used to work with someone called Dan and I used to call across the office DAN DAN DAN. He wasn't in on the joke and thought I was mad/annoying. Actually surprised I wasn't sacked for that!

I hope the film will be good. I don't normally like films of tv shows (the Sex and the City one was CRAP, even though I like the series). There is also supposedto be a Friends on (oh I miss Friends as well, watch those repeats all the time).

I used to love the 80s clothes show. Selina Scott and Caryn Franklin were so cool. Jeff Banks wasn't, though, bless 'im.

My DP also doesn't "get" The Office. How can you not get The Office?!?
My favourite episode is the one where they are in the training session and Gareth goes out and while he is out they are talking about ultimate fantasies - and when he comes back in they say, "Gareth, what about you, what's your ultimate fantasy?", and he says, "Two lesbians, sisters........"

Oh yes FRIENDS! How did I forget that one! Love it.
And SATC.

Oh Gareth. The best think about The Office was the subtlety of the humour. People mostly remember Ricky Gervais dancing, or dressed as a chicken, or doing Simply the Best, but the best bits for me was Gareth and his TA obsessions, the look on Tim's face when Gareth was being particularly odd, the fat bloke (whasisname?) eating a Scotch Egg, and the look on the face of the frunpy woman who had the hots for the black bloke.

Keith! He was class.
But I did always like the underlying romance that was brewing between Tim and Dawn.

Man I forgot all about Sunset Beach - it was soooo unbelievable and trashy, but you still had to watch! Think I used to watch that on the days I was skiving off Uni studying at home .

You're not serious, Getorfmoiland? May I be as indelicate as to ask how old you are? It was a BBC series of the 1970s.

Cutting It

Life on Mars (Ashes to Ashes just doesn't cut it)

I never got the Office either.....(actually, I don't even try with anything supposedly funny on BBC2 anymore, as I know I'll sit there all Margo Leadbetter faced saying "and so????")

UQD - I was born in 1978. Grew up watching all sorts of 1970s crap repeated on the telly (On The Buses, Steptoe and Son, Butterflies, Rising Damp) but I can't remember seeing that one.
