Is it just me or was the acting, especially during the cage siege dreadful? I almost switched off.

Yip, completely agree! Whoever thought bringing Nick back was a good idea - his acting is appalling! But then, so was everyone else's especially Abi!

John Altman is the worst actor in the history of the world. Fact.

Dotty is crap too - and I realise this is probably tantamount to blasphemy, but I think Dot Cotton is highly overrated at the best of times.

I agree. Nick, little dotty, Abi (Dawn is pretty bad too I think). I cringed.

why were they all so scared in the cafe - he only had a stick, hardly the type of weapon that can main and kill ten people all at once! and why did nobody out side think to break the window? not exactly rocket science.

Oh jeez, whoever plays Nick is just the worst actor ever - seriously. I can never work out if he is supposed to be like that, because it's so bad it cannot be allowed!

It was appalling acting! Just dreadful.

And they were so slow getting out! I was like "run!" Argh

Oh good not just me then that thought "the siege" was crap.

Bradders survives but has glass in his eyes.

Report
ginnny · 03/06/2009 12:39

I wish Abi had been in the cafe when it went up. Can't stand her - horrible brat!
I'm pretty sure they have already run the storyline where Nick tries to poison Dot / make out she's senile / pretend she has a grand-daughter - or is it deja vu???
Its crap and I'm usually a big fan.

Report
Trikken · 03/06/2009 12:39

thanks, I did think he looked like he had done something nasty to the right one.

Report
PuppyMonkey · 03/06/2009 12:40

Fimbo, he got off quite lightly then, considering he was at the centre of a huge gas explosion. Lucky or what?

Report
nancy75 · 03/06/2009 12:42

ginny, they have done the nick poisons mad dot story before, i remember it too! i think he also turned up with a baby that he said was his but wasn't?

Report
Fimbo · 03/06/2009 12:46

What's Ian going to say?????

The scene with Shirley, having the drinking party was mad and unbelievable too.

nancy75 · 03/06/2009 12:50

i think they redo the cafe in the style of a 50's american diner - just rubbish!

Report
Fimbo · 03/06/2009 13:34

Oh no, they will put Jane on rollerskates with fake boobs next.

serajen · 04/06/2009 10:22

Wasn't it awful, almost pantomime, can't understand why Eastenders wins all the TV awards year after year, it's gone so downhill IMO

Report
princessmel · 04/06/2009 10:26

Dh and I were shouting at the tv
'he's only got a stick, not a gun!'

Why didn't the people outside call 999 earlier? Why didn't they smash the window?

I thought Dotty was ok though. I was pleased she told the truth.
