In fact just watched very interesting programmes about Mendelssohn and Hitlers Family (not that the two are interconnected) and i think i may have a bit of a crush on that Charles conductor guy (geeky crush)

I haven't watched any of it. Why is it not called X-Factor any more then?

X Factor still exists and will be back later on this year. Its a separate show from BGT.

Yep. Me too.

Great, so we get this stuff all year round. Fantastic. And soon Big Brother will be on again so Channel 4 will basically be a write-off too.

Thank God for Freeview, if we only had 5 channels I woul dbe much more annoyed at how much time was being dedicated to these things.

Report
OrmIrian · 01/06/2009 08:28

Channel 4 is a write-off isn't it?

I am obscurely proud that my DC don't watch or want to watch BGT, X-factor, BB or any other similar stuff. Nor Hannah Montana, HSM etc. It doesn't bother them that they can't join in talk about it (as far as I know).

I seriously thought I was the only one... I hate, hate, hate all those programmes! They are a horrible mixture of being incredibly boring and cringe-makingly embarrassing.

[knows this is spite of never having watched any of these programmes] .

I can honestly say that there is nothing on I want to watch at the moment except Ashes to Ashes (and that is a pale shadow of Life on Mars). I am also watching the repeats of North and South, and the Charles Hazlewood programme already mentioned.

Other than that - nothing!

Thank god for lovefilm...

Can I join? Can't believe the number of threads on here on this subject - makes me want to SCREAM and it'll be BB next...

Oooh, me too! I barely watch TV any more, only films/dvds. And House, natch.

Yes, middle class people watch it too

Gordon Brown saying how he's been ringing up to inquire after Susan Boyle sums up everything that has gone wrong with the world right now

Gordo - parliament is in meltdown, the world's a financial disaster, the environment is disintegrating before our eyes, there's war in Pakistan ...

But - sorry there is a "talent" show going on that is far more important

I am proud never to have watched an episode of BGT or X Factor or Popstars or any similar shite. I watched about 5 minutes of The X Factor once because my SIL loves it, it was more than enough.
